An Interview with the Diru Tabloids Creator & Owner, Ally

1. Tell us a little something about the community.

Dir en grey Tabloids is a livejournal community dedicated to all the Livejournal users all over the world. The maintainers and I are dedicated to bringing Dir en grey information from all over the place to our community for people to see! Please come check the community out and see for yourself!

2. How many members do you have?

Currently the community has 2,008 members

3. When did your community start?

7/15/09

4. Where is the community based (Asia, America, Europe, etc.)?

Savannah, Georgia United States of America

5. What language do you particularly use

English but other languages are welcomed!

6. What are you especially proud about your community?

The maintainers and I are proud that the fact we can bring Dir en grey fans closer together with discussion and bring their spirits up knowing they can read Dir en grey news without having to look too hard to find any.

7. Why Dir en grey?

Because the maintainers at our community have been fans with Dir en grey for a really long time, and we would like to share with the rest of the world with the information we have and find instead of keeping it to ourselves.

8. Among your members rate the popularity of each Deg member.

1. Shinya – He attracts a lot of pictures to the community.
2. Kaoru – His pictures with Boo.
3. Toshiya – His bass pics been floating on the community.
4. Die – His pictures with Boss were attracting members.
5. Kyo – So far the community rarely has anything on him.

9. Do you have any interesting activities in your community? Please tell us about it.

Every Monday the community has a "Member Monday" which means that the users selected will post ten or more random pictures of the band member assigned to them.

All done by LJ users:

First Monday - Shinya

Second Monday - Kaoru

Third Monday - Die

Fourth Monday - Toshiya

On Wednesday the community has an activity called "Random Question Wed" where I give the users a question(s), and they answer them.

To the end the 7 day week we post ten or more pictures of Kyo which she has cleverly named "Kyo Sunday."
Every 100 members my good friend Cammie will translate something that is Dir en grey related, and posts it on the community!

10. Can you tell us something about the members of your community?

The members really enjoy Dir en grey, and a majority of them are from Europe! Ever since I advertised the community on Ameba people from Indonesia, Hong Kong, and even South Korea have been popping up! I hope this trend continues, and more people from all over the globe will take place!

11. What do you wish seeing more from your community?

The maintainers wishes to see more people enjoying themselves and hope to bring happiness among the members.

12. How long did you know about OC.com? What do you think of the site?

I have known about OC since the first layout design was made, and that’s when I signed up. I didn’t like the first layout as navigating through pages was hard as I couldn’t find anything. The previous layout and the layout now I really liked as things were much easier to find.

13. Message to OC readers wanting to join your community

You want news? We have it!

14. Tell us a little about yourself. (Handle, Position, What you do in the community)

I am the owner of the community and make sure everything is run smoothly ad keep people in a happy atmosphere.

15. Has Dir en grey ever had a concert in your area? (When, Where, etc.) OR Share a memorable moment about Dir en grey in your community.

Atlanta, GA USA, November 8th, 2008 Center Stage Theater.

Memorable Moment: There was a moment on the floor between the daring stares from Kyo, and I. That was my most memorable moment, but I rather not go into detail.

Memorable Moment: The whole concert was one big experience for me as I got to see and do things I never thought imaginable.

16. Just a random question: How much do we need to pay you to throw a brick in a panda's face?

Animal abuse is wrong.
