New On The Site
As the band has hit their underground activities hiatus, we here at OC.com have been taking a critical look at the site. We’ll be making some changes over the next few a months, culminating in a site overhaul somewhere in the hitherto unexplored reaches of 2011.
Most of the changes will be happening behind-the-scenes. They will be primarily geared towards making life less stressful and more organized for all of us.
You may have noticed some tinkering so far with the front page layout. This was the first part of a full set of changes set to go online in March.
What you’ll notice mostly is the move to a weekly publication schedule. Look for an announcement every Wednesday beginning on March 9th. This omnibus announcement will have links to the new articles and other current information. This system should have a twofold effect:
- 1．We hope that this will make it easier for readers to find all the latest content, rather than having articles drop quickly off the front page.
- 2．It will allow us to improve the quality of the content that we provide, by giving us a chance to work with the articles and chase out all the bugs.
Another big project is to review past translations and articles. Our old material will be undergoing thorough checks for dead links, missing pictures, bad English, bad formatting and so on. In addition, we’ll be bringing the tagging system up to speed to make our articles more searchable.
Another change you will see is the restructuring of the masthead. That is, our editorial board has undergone some tinkering in order to make duties and responsibilities more clear. As a result, if you have any questions and concerns, or notice any problems, your communications with us will be much easier.
We hope that the changeover goes smoothly, and works as we plan. Please bear with any small quirks in the meantime.

Coming Soon
Over the next three months, we’re looking forward to a couple of big events. Watch for the release of Haiiro no Ginka #50, which the staff have been hyping to beat the band (no pun intended). In addition, Die Month and Shinya Month are on the way. Also this quarter, there will be a feedback survey, so that we can hear what you have to say.
